Comparison
A narrower Sentry alternative.
The issue page is meant to be read the way you would read a Sentry issue: the stack, the breadcrumbs, the release, and the count. TraceHawk does not add session replay, continuous profiling, or an AI write-up.
What this page is
People looking for a Sentry alternative usually want grouped exceptions, a release, and somewhere for the work to go. TraceHawk does that for browser JavaScript and PHP, including Laravel and Symfony, and it can open one Jira task when a threshold is crossed. This table is what TraceHawk ships. It is not a claim about Sentry's current plans, prices, or feature list.
| TraceHawk | |
|---|---|
| JavaScript errors | A script tag. Uncaught errors and unhandled promise rejections. captureException for an error you already caught. |
| PHP, Laravel, Symfony | tracehawk/sdk 1.1.0. Laravel hooks bootstrap/app.php. Symfony registers one bundle. |
| Error grouping | Exception type plus the top application frames. Line numbers and query strings do not split the issue. |
| Releases | First seen and last seen. A resolved issue that returns is marked regressed, not copied into a new issue. |
| Stack, breadcrumbs, trace | On the event you open. Application frames start open. Library frames start collapsed. |
| Jira | One task after a count you set, in 15 minutes, an hour, 6 hours, or a day. Business and Test send it. |
| Slack | An incoming webhook per project, on the same plans, when the rule crosses the line. |
| Session replay | Not included. |
| Performance telemetry | Laravel spans and the browser snippet can open an issue for a repeated query, a slow request, or a weak LCP, INP, or CLS. Not an APM suite. |
| Continuous profiling | Not included. |
| AI write-up | Not included. |
When TraceHawk is the wrong tool
If the requirement is session replay, continuous profiling, or a generated explanation of the error, this product does not do that. Repeated queries, slow requests, and browser vitals can still become issues. The page stays on what was sent, the release, and the ticket.
If the requirement is JavaScript and PHP exception tracking, grouping, a release, a trace, and a Jira task at a threshold, that is the product. Pricing is on the pricing page: Base is €199 a month, Business is €299, and Test is €1.
Questions
Is TraceHawk a full Sentry replacement?
Only for the slice it actually ships: grouped JavaScript and PHP exceptions, releases, stack traces, breadcrumbs, a trace, threshold alerts, Slack, and Jira. Laravel spans and browser vitals can also open an issue. Session replay, continuous profiling, and an AI write-up are not included.
Does the issue page follow the same reading order as a Sentry issue?
It is built to be read that way: one issue, one event, the stack, the breadcrumbs, the release, and the count. It does not copy Sentry features that are outside that page.
Which clients can send events?
A browser script tag, plain PHP, Laravel, and Symfony. They post to the same project endpoint.
